Merriam Wild Turkey, 36" x 48" Oil on Canvas

This painting was a large commission for a collector of mine, commemorating a Merriams double he took in Arizona. It's the largest piece I've painted to date, and was sized to fill the wall of his gun room (which is also the largest gun room I've ever seen.) While not your typical Eastern turkey scene, I enjoyed painting the buttes and rivers of the arid climate that these Merriams turkeys call home.
