Anybody that’s spend more than 15 minutes in a dove field has seen this one play out. Two doves light on a power line, fence row or a roost tree and you sit, waiting and watching and hoping and praying that they decide to fly down your way to eat for the night. Anyone that’s been married more than 15 minutes has also said the same thing in the car, driving late in the evening around dinner time. “So, where you wanna eat?” I’d like to think that doves aren’t all that different. I painted this small piece in preparation for the 2022 Southeastern Wildlife Expo.
