This spring, I stumbled upon this scene while moving in on a hard gobbling, yet stubborn, Osceola that had roosted over the water and was slowly making his way to the pasture. It was an area where the deep swamp transitions to a field edge. A place where gnarly old cypress trees and stubby, oddly-shaped cypress knees catch the early morning light, providing the perfect spot for these three longboards to make a grand entrance into the pasture.
